Workshops:    back to top
One-day to one-week workshops are scheduled throughout the year. These feature locally and internationally known artists and instruction ranges from the beginning to the advanced level. Most involve hands-on learning/participation as well as lectures, demonstrations and occasional field trips.

Conferences and Seminars:    back to top
Nottingham sponsors lectures, workshops and educational events in conjunction with local colleges and arts groups

Plans are in the works for Nottingham, in cooperation with other arts groups, to sponsor various regional and local events such as a ceramics conference similar to CCACA (California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts) held in Davis, CA each April-May and sponsored by the Natsoulas Gallery (www.natsoulas.com).

Exhibits and Arts Events:    back to top
The Nottingham Center will co-sponsor various juried and curated shows with colleges, galleries and museums, materials suppliers and other arts groups in the area. Additionally; we are planning an outdoor art show on the center grounds during the summer to be held annually. We are also monitoring the development of the Naval Training Center for arts use.

The Nottingham Center works with various local arts groups to promote arts events, such as Mudfest, a public event sponsored by the Clay Artists of San Diego (CASD) (www.clayartistsofsandiego.org).

Nottingham Workshop Scholarships:    back to top
The Center offers workshop scholarships to highschool and college students in the Southern California area. These are for the cost of the workshop only and do not include transportation or lodging.
